Peer Evaluation / Feedback for EDC 102 Context Statement
The purpose of the context statement in EDC 102 is to provide each student with an opportunity to demonstrate his or her ability to research a school, its district, and its community in order to better understand its strengths and challenges. Each report should describe their school based solely on evidence that is cited in the Reference section. This is most efficiently done in teams of two working on two laptops.
As a peer editor, your tasks are:
Carefully evaluate the report by assigning a score for each criterion.
Provide constructive comments that will help strengthen the report for each category.
Step-by-step process for linking your evaluation to the context statement:
Laptop #1:
Copy the rubric below.
Open the context statement you are evaluating. Check to see that there are not already several evaluation links at the bottom of the page.
Type some text at the bottom of the context statement identifying the evaluators (e.g., Ashley/Veronica's Evaluation).
Highlight the identifying text and click "link" on the task bar at the top of the wiki page.
A page name will appear in the dialog box. Click "Add Link." Save.
While in the context statement, click on your identifying text at the bottom of the page. Paste the rubric to the page. You will work on this laptop.
Laptop #2:
Open the context statement. Do not click Edit. You will read on this laptop.
Note: At very busy times, it may not be possible to save edits on multiple computers at exactly the same time. Be patient, or copy your evaluation to a Word document and upload it later.
